                              our beef stew

  1              pound  stew meat
  1                cup  carrot -- chopped
  1                cup  celery -- chopped
  1             medium  onion -- diced
  1                cup  flour
  2        tablespoons  garlic powder
  1         tablespoon  oregano
  1         tablespoon  celery seed
  1              pinch  cayenne
     1/4           cup  canola oil
  8               cups  beef stock -- home made if possible
heat oil coat beef in flour and brown in oil half at a time when beef all browned add stock a little at a time allowing mix to thicken when all stock is added add veg and bring to a simmer simmer for about 4 hours stirring every 15 min
make dumpling if u want
